Hi all,

How often would you recommend replacing washable air filters and breathers? I would assume that after a period of time they would need to be replaced?

Any comments would be welcome.

Depends on how tired the engine is...and whether it is well plumbed...inspect regularly and clean as required (that is when obviously contaminated at least)

Well the engine is a 1300 and was rebuilt in 1999. Its only done maybe 30 000 miles. There are two breathers which dont take long to get filthy. These two breathers and the two air filters have been on the car since the engine was rebuilt.

If they truly are washable ones and you are washing them properly on a regular basis, you should get many 100000Ks. If not.... replace.
