I've been advised that replacing 1/4 vemt window rubbers with new rubbers is a waste of time - cause they just pull out of their channel the first time you close them...
Does anybody have any tips on how to make the rubbers stay put??

yes, like all rubbers, a PITA. I will be using silastic to fix mine next time round,( in the bottom channel which should also help waterproofing). I think the trick is to adjust the nuts correctly on the quarter vent spindle so that they are not too tight and the 1/4 vent frame does not bind on the bottom rubber. From memory, the drama arises when the assembly is put back in the door-seems to work fine out of the door! Maybe its a problem with the reproduced seals, not manufactured to the correct specs as per the original SARM ones. |

Yeah, i replaced my quarter vent rubbers, and your right they do try n pull them selves out of the frame. But with the placement of my bullet rear view mirrors, I cant open them anyways..... |
