B careful as to wat 12in wheels u get! My performance superlites will not fit over the honda discs without machining down of the rotor.

OTOH, Mini Mad's Performance 12x5 Superlights bolted straight on, with full size 9.1" Honda rotors, don't even need any spacers.
Apparently Superlites are not all the same, check `em...

Yeah, my superlites are stepped on the inside of the rim. If i wanted to fit the honda kit, id need to make it to suit 10 inch rims. Cause the inside of my rim is basically the same as a 10 inch rim......

I'm about to buy some from Tempe Tyres (12" rims). I have no idea if they will fit.

Am I better off getting the 12" or 13" rims or are the 13" rims opening up a whole new set off problems.

Both will fit.
Anton had Tempe Tyres' 12s on JAM with std Honda Civic brakes.

thanks, cant wait to get them now.

Any tips on getting them installed. I'd prefer a brake place to do it, as I havent got a clue and dont want to muck around with brakes.

Any place you could recommend me to, I'm in the "Hills" as well.

I've got the calipers and disks, what else would one need. Has anyone in oz got a mounting plate for the calipers. I've got my 12" rims now so I'm looking forward to slapping the brakes on.

Hi,

I've done three 9.1" Honda conversions now, with mixed results.

I have been getting my rotors and calipers from a local (Perth) wrecker, problem is that they have all been "off the shelf" so I can't be certain of age or model. I have been told that most of the 9.1" rotors are off jap imports (i.e. front-cuts) of late 80"s Civics.

Whilst searching at the wreckers I did find a pair of smaller Civic discs (~8.4"), unfortunately there wer no calipers. I think they were off a 70s model...probably very rare now.

All 12" rims I have tried require a spacer (minimum 15mm) to clear the caliper when doing the 9.1" conversion.

Having said that, I have managed to fit a set of Performance Hotwires without spacers by grinding a bit off the calipers...not too much. It also helps if the pads are not brand new.

I have an AutoCad drawing of the bracket, PM me if you want a copy.

Chers,

Dave

I am a fan of direct bolt-on jobs.

Like FACTORY 7.5s/8.4s
