Sounds a little strange I know but what do they both have in common As i would say with most people on the forum I like my Pizza and what do you do with your box after. And as with most on this forum once again Morris likes to drip a little oil A Family Size or Large fits perfectly under the front of the Mini to collect any oil while he's at rest of a night. Do you just let the oil drip onto the floor |

Sometimes it better to eat the box and put the pizza under the car. |

DOn't bother , make your own then you know what's in them and they are to your taste . You don't get the boxes to use as an oil tray (bloody good idea really and the cardboard soaks up the oil well) though but you get damn good pizza . |

Good point , I'm trying to get motivated and build a wood fired pizza oven , it might be a winter project at this rate , too hot to be stuffing around with bricks and concrete at the moment and not being paid for it ... |

Post subject: | OIL LEAKS |
Hi guys, I just got a 69 matic for 2 weeks and I brought the car for a check before buying it and the guy there says basically there is no visible oil leaks at all. When I drove it back home and was all happy and all that, roughly 5 mins later, found out that it wasn't what he said. I could actually see a black mark on the concrete right under the front right corner of the engine bay. Touch it, and it's like greasy, I supposed that is the oil comign from the bottom of the gearbox, and it is I think. And Guess what, it just keep coming and coming everytime I drove and park. Is that normal. I have read through something about the hardening of the seals which might be the cause of this from a general car magazine. What are seals? Hope someone can explain a bit. Thanks mate. Ben A. |

Thanks mate. Ben A. Most mini's will have some type of oil leak somewhere , it's part of them and the age of components . How big a leak is the real question , a spot or two per day or a dinner plate sized puddle per day ? The first accesory most peoplembuy for their mini is an oil drip tray for the garage floor . If it ever stops leaking oil then you know it needs topping up ![]() |
