Hi,

Just need a quick bit of advice for how to remove the wiper blade from the spline that comes throughthe scuttle panel. I know it says in the manual to pull the clip up, but that doesn't seem to work

Is there a trick to this?

Cheers

Matt

VERY carefully - use a thin piece of wood or cardboard so not to chip the paint and slip a 'C' spanner under and lever gently. May need something under the points of the spanner to act as a fulcrum

It's hard to describe but imagine the wiper arm is pushing against the spindle (it is actually because of the spring holding the arm against the screen) , you need to lift the wiper arm , at the same time tilting the part thats over the spindle back to the wiper arm . You can try with a screwdriver under the furthest edge of the arm away from the wiper end where it goes over the spindle but it's best if you do it by hand . That probably sounds double dutch but it's awkward to explain without a picture ....

mine just pull of. but sometimes there a bit harder and then i just get a flat screw driver and gently twist it under the wiper where it meets the shaft.

Thanks guys!

Managed to get them off with tip number three! Used a large flat bladed screw driver to lever them off!! The little spring clips didn't seem to be doing much, but they must have been doing enough to keep them on the car!

Now I have wipers that actually wipe the screen instead of skitterring across the surface! 8) 8)

Cheers
Matt
