Does anyone have any pictures of the original handbook or "Passport to service" that came with a mini when purchased back in the day? :?:

This is the drivers handbook and passsport to service that came with the sports850 , interestingly the drivers handbook is a UK publication and shows all the UK models (Morris mini minor , Morris SUper mini minor .....) but has a couple of Australian pages stuck in . The passport to service is an Australian publication and fortuanately has survived with a lot of usable info such as the 3 previous owners details . I'm wondering if anyone knows of the original owner , Mrs Martha Webb who lived in 11 Cutlers Rd Balgowlah when she bought it 15/02/63 , Mrs Pamela Whyman of 12 Millwood Ave Chatswood (don't know when , they didn't date the book when they bought it) or the family I bought it off , Mrs Robyn Hill , 21 Templeton Cres , Baulkham Hills . They bought it 29/10/79 and I bought it from them in early 1992 , just got to find the receipt for the exact date .....

I was thinking your passport to service was tatty too!! And you were thinking mine was tattier?? ... geeze

I think i have just the one brochure, but its pretty sweet! It has maybe 10 colour page images and lots of completely bias info as well as some times from rob roy.

If its rare or somthing i do have a scanner so if people would like to know just how 'incredible' morris 850 is.. just let me know.

(also remove that awful wreck from my property please)

Awful wreck from your property ????

I'm trying to figure out how many 850 brochures were used by Australian dealers , I have the one you showed , plus these three (the wizardry on wheels is technically an English brochure but it was used by dealers here at the start of mini sales ) , anyone else know of any others ?

The incredible morris 850

Image

The inside information on the morris 850 which inside features the 101 top selling features ... Including such features as "83 Concealed illumination for speedometer dial " and "24 Direct central floor change gear lever " ....

Image

Wizardry on wheels that starts as a standard sized brochure and opens out to this ...

The claim that the morris 850 is like a big car on the inside is apparantly true. I can't say becasue I drive me mini only and my family (besides the other mini) drive Land Rovers. But according to a dude who drive a celica who is a mate of a mate of mine.."it's pretty big inside."

But I diagree with the 850 being 'big in performance' and 'big in comfort'...

performance as in the whole package , handling and power to weight ratio , it was against some average performers and outshone them like you wouldn't believe ....

i had a mate with a celica too, who reckoned there was more room in my car than his.

also, no i dont want to buy one, the montego looks like a r31 which looks like a volvo 740, as much as i love volvos. 740 = ugly
