Hi

Just wondering if anyone's got recommendation or can vouch for an exhaust place in brisbane preferably southside.
My exhaust leaks between my dump pipe and extractors.
And fix some mounting/clamps as well.

Tried MOD EDIT - rule #4 and they did a terrible job.

Cheers

Not too sure about those particular places but I always found the guys at Lees Exhaust at Slacks Creek pretty good with my other cars can't say for minis but probably need some exhaust work soon as I must be getting old as it can get too loud over long trips.

Just a quick one, why Mod Edit the post if someone is advising of an unsuitable place/ or workmanship on their car, isn't it better that others know about this so not to waste time and money going to these same places?

Also Razor you must be around near me, I live in Coopers Plains near Kessels Road.

In a nutshell , Poeee , as the owner of this site can be taken to court for libel if someone feels they have been publicly slandered on a site he owns . Regardless of whether the comment is true or not , or said honestly from experience or in jest to get a bite from someone (obviously it was from experience in this case) it cannot be left up for others to see . It only takes one person to say "I saw someone slinging off at your buisiness on such and such a site " for things to get nasty and Poeee to be contacted by irate buisiness owners or their lawyers , much easier for all involved to have a rule against it and remove any such comments . Anything you say in private or by PM's is fine , just not in the public areas .

Thanks for clearing that one up Sports850, you have to be so careful in this litigious (hopefully spelt right) time, people are very quick to sick the lawyers onto others.

Sounds like Gazza is onto a winner there if you have the time to drive out that way, not a bad price at all for the system and good positive comments.

Razor be careful with places full on nice done up cars sometimes the prices match the type of cars parked outside. Might have to catch up for a drive or a drink/ chat one day.

I'll try the place at capalaba then cos I know they've got some experience with mini exhaust rather taking it to someone who doesnt have a clue and charge more as its not their everyday car.

I drove the mini to work today and on the way home thoguth might try asking around for a quote
I tried Mac's Muffler in MacGregor and they told me it will take a couple of hours  and its gonna be expensive.

Then off to Pipewerx and they told me they will have to take the downpipe and put silastic or something and put it back again for $70 plus fix the mounting bracket (front of muffler) $15
Total: $85

$90 for new exhaust & muffler according to gazza from menatwork in capalaba is quite cheap then!!!

We've used Macs Mufflers at Enoggera for more years than you'd beleive, the owner Peter King is a top bloke as are the rest of the guys that work there. He's been in business there for longer than most of us are alive and his staff have been there forever as well. You'll get an honest assessment of whats required and options on how to go about what you want to acheive.

Like any industry there are idiots and sharks, but most people are there to help people out and earn an honest living.

I've also used Rob Bliss Exhausts at Geebung over the years with my Toranas and always been happy but its been a couple of years since i've used their services.

I see....The owners name is pete? Your 850pete.......COINCIDENCE? I think not!!!! Such a glowing report there can be only one conclusion....... you pete's get together and conspire. Somewhere there is an international brotherhood of petes. Thanks though, Hopefully they can sort out the problem tomorrow.
