Guys.... considering going full aftermarket suspension upgrade to one of the above brands. Any ideas on 1. which setup to go, 2. Approx Cost, and 3. Whether it is a complicated job or not......

well i run spax front adjustable shocks and rear koni adjustables, with a rear swaybar. It does have great turn in but rear end can snap around if your to slow. The koni's and gaz are a better built shock then the spax.

For new shocks you wouldnt be looking at much change from $800 for the konis and gaz, maybe $600 for the spax.

I got mine from UK ebay, payed $100aus shipped for the spax and $150aus shipped for the konis :D

Then there is coil overs, wouldnt recomend these for a street car, race only.

Easy to fit, fronts just bolt in, rears need tanks taken out to fit.

sg, you are running hydro suspension at the moment right?? if so, it's a little bit more complicated, you need to get the shock mounting brackets for the front (either from a wreckers or shop) and then you can put the shocks in.......i'm not sure about the back because they just mount to the inner arch.......

Steve,
You already have shocks mounted to the front. They are brand new original types. The front and rear have negative camber setups as well. If you want to upgrade you can change the front to whatever performance type you wish, however changing the rear helper springs to shocks is not a good idea. If you want to make some improvements a rear swaybar is a good option, give that a go and I think you will find your rear pitch will reduce. G.

Before you lash out on a rear bar for a hydro, I would fit comp rear hydro bumpstops. $72/pr approx at Karcraft. p/no C-AJJ3313. Works for me... 8)
They have a similar effect to a rear bar on corners by progressively increasing spring rate, but they also reduce fore & aft pitching and give you better turn in.
