Went to the huntly hill climb today and there was a guy running a hill climb special with a mini motor at the front and a mini motor at the back, 4WD, two gearboxes and all, apparently she's a bit of a handfull. It was effectionatly known as a WRX Mk1.

Only tricky bits to synch up are the clutch and the gearshift. The road does the rest.
I helped build one many years ago, with 2 998s. But the nice policeman came and took the car before it was finished... bugger! :cry:

There was 1 or 2 built back in the days of Rallycross, that had a manual 1275 up front and an auto in the back!
My old boss back in `73 was building one.

I reckon the one Auto, one manual engine idea is the way to go. As you said the road does the syncing.
