Post subject:  Hey, I saw a twini

Went to the huntly hill climb today and there was a guy running a hill climb special with a mini motor at the front and a mini motor at the back, 4WD, two gearboxes and all, apparently she's a bit of a handfull. It was effectionatly known as a WRX Mk1.

Pix and video here. Sorry about the flickering video, Kodak 6490 Videos are hard to edit.

Only tricky bits to synch up are the clutch and the gearshift. The road does the rest.
I helped build one many years ago, with 2 998s. But the nice policeman came and took the car before it was finished... bugger!

There was 1 or 2 built back in the days of Rallycross, that had a manual 1275 up front and an auto in the back!
My old boss back in `73 was building one.

Post subject:  Good idea

I reckon the one Auto, one manual engine idea is the way to go. As you said the road does the syncing.
