Hmmmmmmmmm...
These doors on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Austin-Morris-Mi ... dZViewItem

Are they worth the asking price?

I think yes, but others may have a better idea.
Or even some doors of their own that they would like to sell to me.

They are interesting

With plastic window catches and rope door pulls they came of an English car I wonder if the original car is a mini Cooper red or BRG with a white roof and bonnet stripes now or still an 850? Then again it could have been written off and crushed.

$145 would have to be perfect and have all fittings/chrome that are in great condition.

Even still, i'd probably not pay that much!

I'd pay 145 for the pair but not each. But if it's the onlt thing on the market, then the value is up to what you would pay for it against how much the owner is willing to let them go for.

Item is worth the money for sure. Weather it is what one would wish to pay for them is another thing. It depends how redily available they are elsewhere. In the case of these doors I don't think one has much choice if one is desparate to buy an authentic pair to keep the car original. They are getting more scarce every day. Remember we used to toss them out and replace them by Wind up doors!!! We can now all cry now and complain on how expensive they are..

I think the starting price is pretty reasonable........try going to a local mini specialist and buy a pair....

They look like reasonably clean doors and the less rust you have to repair the better off you are in a restoration. Any extra money spent on good parts means less money spent later on paying someone to repair parts in worse condition.

Us mini owners are a crazy lot......we all think whats in our sheds is "Rare" and "worth heaps!!" but soon as someone else goes to sell something its "waayyy overpriced!!"

Ooooh Aaaagh rare as...... Big bucks etc etc etc.

Unless you have a shed full........

Buy now or pay more later.....

It's a fact of life...

willy, I admire your 'old school' spirit!

Most 'young blokes' want the 'turbo nitrous 16V' nutter mini

What are your intentions?

What are you building? :?

Those of us with an 850 or two usually have a spare couple of sets in the shed :D

I have a lovely perfect set that even has the chrome trim attached from the dear departed Riley elf
