Any one got pictures of min's around Bathurst. I have one on my wall But i'm guess thier should be more.
I also found (on the web) sometime back a story of what it was like back then I'll see if I can find it again.

i got photo's from bathurst as well but they are of mainly camle toes hmmmmm makka btw tzi did you have a go at the simulators in the bob jane tent ??? the guy who owns them is a mate of a mate and i offerd to take car but was told nooooooo makka |

came first both times in the ford... but couldnt drive the holden for nuts

I have a copy of the RCN report on the crushing Mini Victory that year. I also have a couple of pictures of the winning car "replica" that lives in the Bathurst Museum - unfortunately me in Sydney at the moment, so....maybe when I get back home...

This is a picture of a "replica" of the winning car entered by BMC Australia for Rauno Aaltonen and Bob Holden built by the local TAFE and on display at the Bathurst Motor Racing Museum. 1966 was the year of the "S" (thats Cooper S son...) of the 19 cars that started in Class C, seventeen were Coopers. Three "works" cars, two of which were piloted by internationals - Paddy Hopkirk and Rauno Aaltonen. The winning car completed 130 laps and best lap was 3:11 (so they would be lapped by a V8 Supercar in about three these days). Minis in the first nine places!! ya gotta love that!
