Hi All,
my steering is sloppy and the rack leaking oil & seeing as I have the subframe & motor out I thought I would replace it.
Can anyone advise where I can get a reco one in SA.

Thanks Cush, I can't believe that I didn't think of him considering I got other great stuff from him- I wonder if it may have something to do with the JD's I have been downing while working on the car today..hmmmmmmmm time for another :P

I got mine as a change over from Mini King, it was a recoed one.

Well, I can vouch for Paul at minitech motors, I have done some comparison pricing charts, and he comes up trumps every time, not only that, but a top bloke also. He's always ready at the phone wanting to help.

ahh yes always forget about them... they can be costly.. but also quite cheap... depends what you get... give them a try too .. you might be able to bargain with him a bit...

Yeah I agree with that. My engine/gearbox and car, which I got from him were good priced. But I bought a brake hose from him and later found it was 12 bucks each, more than a minisport one. So I agree, can be cheap, but can be expensive, so call many places, and know what stuff should cost.

LOL...when was that? I forgot to drop my old one in for about 2 months after I was supposed to and they didn't get me to pay a deposit. They actaully forgot... :lol:. Next time I do a change over, I'll remember to actaully change it over, so someone else can but my old one, restored.

How big is a steering rack??
I'm thinking of gettting a quick rack from the uk but if they are to big it will cost to much to post
