i did this just recently...

but to clarify first...

do you have sliding window doors and want to replace the glass/channels or do you want to convert windup windows to sliders?

for the later you'll need to fit sliding window doors....

for the former, you need to get the three screw in the channel out (i had to drill mine) :x

then you slide both windows open a bit (to the middle, so there's a gap on either side) then you pull the glass out from the bottom. by grabbing chrome rail and the channel and pulling inwards and then down....having a friend to help catch the glass is a good idea...

and then the magic words..

"installation is the reverse of removal" :P

other than that...it's in the early workshop manuals...in the later ones, it's in the van section.. ;)

On roundnoses (not clubby doored Ks) you can swap doors. My car has windups, but is suppose to have sliders.
