Hi all, Does anyone know what the bore size of the Mazda MC people are using, apparently theres a couple different sizes. was given these to figures but they could be wrong, are these similier sizes to the mini tandom MC 13/16 20.64 ????? steve ![]() |

to work out fractions to decimal you divide the first number by the second so 13/16 equals 0.8125 hope this hepls |

The RWD mazda 121 master cylinder that I use has a 13/16 bore |

0.70" ~45/64" = 17.78mm 0.75" = 3/4" = 19.05mm 0.8125 = 13/16" = 20.64mm A bigger master cylinder will give more fluid movement. This will have a couple of effects, mainly the pedal will 'take-up' quicker & the pressure required by your foot will be higher. The area difference between the 0.70" and 13/16" suggests 25-35% more force required on the pedal for the same line pressure. I don't know if your application would suit either cylinder size, best to consult a mechanic or brake specialist before changing anything. Regards Daniel |
