Mini Cooper 1989 Sedan, after market exhaust, alloys, air, CD, 1.3L, low kms, excellent condition inside and out, SN-25, $11500. DL-364. Fast & Furious Imports FYSHWICK 02-6228 1117.

89's didn't have 1.3's or external hinges I thought.
Must be a few interesting mods in there.

Anyone live nearby, get some info?

i also see low back seats
naughty! i dont think the new overseas absolutely required high backs

also the rear windows go right up to the roof, indication of a late mini

I think is a replacement engine. The mk5's only had 998 engines, unless japan did it with the aircon.
It's easy to tell its a late design, big windows and square doors.

It's common in Japan to make Minis look older than they are with the stock-on door hinges.

Other than the ERA Turbo, the 1275 engine was not re-introduced inti the Mini until the RSP Cooper was released in 1990. So if it really has a 1275, it has been swapped.

Could be that the dopey importer does not realise it has a 998???

EDIT - I like it! Interesting combo of old and new. Like my mate Ian's MkIII with late model MPi and air fitted. Except I would rather have a 1275 carby like this one. :D

Or is playing dumb and knows it's a 998 :? Good way to move a car that has been sitting in the yard for a while
