Can't send you a picture but it's the end of the fuel pump breather pipe. It looks a bit like a white push rivet with a hole through the centre. Sucks clean air from inside the car and exhausts it through the one way valve on the pump contact cover. RonR |

If no one has a pic, then how about a good description of where it is and what it looks like. |

No offence to Austin (in particular)... but I can't help thinking that Ausmini is gradually assembling a How To on faking a Cooper S ![]() |

There's been plenty of knowlege in faking Cooper S cars around for years, the absence of any special pressings (other than the front panel perhaps) makes it harder to detect fakes. I guess it's like all things on the net, the making of home made bombs has never been easier as well. |

I was after some advice so i wouldn't buy a fake. Will have to look elsewhere then. |

Soz Austin, didn't mean to sound like we were trying to scare you off. I've got the hole under the rear seat on the passenger side, but the grommet is long gone. A breather hose used to pass into it from the fuel pump case, but I have not found another grommet to replace it, I haven't looked that hard actually ![]() If you look under the seat on the vertical panel, you can't miss it, it's only a small drill hole. |
