The MiniSpares ID refers to that chassis no. as a "Facelift" Californian 998 which I would assume would indeed make it a late model Cali. :lol:
Second number fits the bill (998 cc).

At that stage the only thing that really distinguished a Californian from a standard was what sticker it had on it. There's no record of which numbers meant Californian and which ones didn't. Some '77 models say "californian" on the compliance plate but none of the others do, so what's genuine mean?
