For your age mini it should be on the firewall behind the master cylinders , though I have seen them pretty much anywhere on the firewall or in the engine bay for that matter . If there is a soundproofing mat against the firewall lift it and have a look behind it . Post a pic of your engine bay and we can tell you where to look might be easier . |

thats what ive been told, i got told exactly behind the master cylinder and the driver bonnet hinge and yeah i can find it or its very faded |

also sports i found out thats my min is a mini k juz had the mini sport badges put on it and the flares been put on as well |

If it really IS a 1969 model there may be no body plate. Body plate was not fitted after 3/69, and the VIN plates came in 12/69. They were fitted to the front of the crossmember, above the RH spring tower. What is on the registration papers, it should match the radiator shroud number for a 1969 or later car. |

My Mini K has no body plate, it is apparently a 69 model as well, the only numbers are the body number on the rad shroud. As the doc said the number should match what is on your rego papers if you have them. I am taking my car for a rego inspection soon, I hope the inspector knows there isn't meant to be a body plate, I may have to explain it to him. Steve. |
