I sprayed some components today in satin black

WOW!! How good does stuff look in that colour!!!

Forget gloss black parts people.....satin black is pure brilliance!!

Who else has painted stuff satin black and feels the same?

No offence intended here but--> anyone writing a book about minis 30 years ago may not have experienced such worn or stuffed-with components as we are finding these days.

You should put your heart & soul into everything you do.

All my suspension and stacks of other stuff has been powder coated in satin black.

satin black was the original black colour used on lucas starter motors and generators (And many other bits aswell but i dont know)

It isnt gloss black and it isnt flat black, somewhere in between.

I agree.

A satin black finish will almost always look better than gloss. Being of a lower sheen it masks any imperfections to the applied media, giving a softer, yet deeper look.
