Hey Doc ,
Just got the latest Mini World from Pommy land and on page 86 there's an add for BMW K series head conversions, (www.specialist-components.co.uk), I thought you developed these????.

I was reading a MiniWorld from 1996 last night and there was an article about a guy in France who was doing it. Its not a brand new idea. Credits to anyone who's prepared to give it a go though.

Yeah I remeber that one, even then, if you look at the motor, it's not a running engine. He was still developing it. I thought it strange that MW couldn't have waited a month or so till it was running.

Yep, they show a photo of it from the clutch end, but not the cam drive end, there was going to be a seven stage gear drive for the overhead cams, which all sounded very complex. I suspect it was never completed.

Here`s my first one that we did early last year,,, twin cam 16valve 1360cc with electronic fuel injection (stuff :-) ) we put it in my shitty old "S" & drove it around for ages tuning it & then took it to the Qld mini muster last June. Watto put a little pic of it in the Mini Experience magazine too :-) Thanks Watto :-)

http://media.putfile.com/MadMatt-Bimmy-Twinky

This video is of our very first engine, but i now have 6 engines on the go,,, one of those is for my race mini & the others are all for customers & all of those are big bore turbo charged , injected versions.

sorry to all the people who have asked me for a price on these but i still havn`t finished up all the kits that i`m producing, still waiting for the CNC machine to be fixed.

I do ,however, have plenty of twin cam 8v cyl heads here & will be continuing to produce more & more kits & also develop more "goodies" for them along the way.

These things are the very best thing since sliced bread. :-)
