I've sorted out the new ACME Bloodhound car alarm for the mini.

Should be safe at most shopping centers in Western Sydney now.
It's strangely arousing...

Drove onto Point Cook RAAF base. I was intrepid and explained what I was up to to the staff there. They let me wander about hither and thither. I put the rest of the shots up in the Members Mini Gallery forum:

I know, but I ain't saying.

Quote:
"By the time the missile has just cleared the launcher it is doing 400 mph. By the time the missile is 25 feet from the launcher it has reached the speed of sound (around 720 mph). Three seconds after launch, as the four boost rockets fall away, it has reached Mach 2.5 which is roughly 1800 mph"

I realised after last Sunday when Adeee took some snaps that i really don't have a lot of recent and decent photographs of the Cooper, so I snuck onto Point Cook RAAF base as I figured I might get some decent shots around there.

LIAR! which one is it?

Well sorta both. I used my defence pass to get on but didn't exactly speak to them at the gate about photos (which I think by law I shoulda, something about C.O.'s permission). And then I spoke to the guys at a museum if I could drive around the tarmac to frame some shots...

(Is this admissable evidence?)

Nearly there Adrianne, one more year of study and then you can buy whatever you like!

I'm assuming you're already an engineer, they just want you to have a piece of paper, yeah?

no no, not engineer in the true professional sense. I was a electrical tradesman before the navy, and then joined and collected another as an electronics sparky. They've got schemes where if you virtually immolate yourself before a board then they'll send you to uni for 4 years. Anyone may apply. This is seperate to joining as an engineer and going to ADFA.

Yeah, looked into all that myself. VicPol are planning to instigate something kind of like the ADFA idea* where applicants MUST complete an unpaid degree before entry. :? They're only gonna get 18yo school leavers applying! No one in a steady career is going to want to take 3 - 4years off UNPAID just to apply... :?

*Note itallics as i understand this is not identical to ADFA - no need to explain the difference. :)

Mick, just wondering if you have to do any of that mandatory training regarding security like the Army does? Better add that I am just being a smart ass because I think the photo is awesome!
