Hi, just wondering if mk 1 right tank strap is spot welded or bolted behind rear seat, cheers. |

Bolted, but doesn't use normal bolts. They are studs pressed or welded onto ver particular straps to spread the load. If it doesn't have these studs, and the bracket beneath the R/H tank then it's a clever ruse. |

If you look at the following picture you will see all the parts required for a proper RH tank instal. 
The bracket at the bottom left holds the strap to the rear of the seat and is bolted through the 4 holes. The bracket at the bottom right is the one that is spot welded to the boot floor under the tank. Regards Daniel |
