Well, the other day I noticed a mini sitting behind another car behind a shed in a yard, just off the hwy. So I decided to start putting the word out to find out about it....
Long story short, I got onto the bloke today, and it was left there by his next door neighbour, and its all mine now. So, its what appears to be a complete 1977 Mini Clubman LS, has the stripes, LS contessa's (i assume they are), all original 998 engine I believe (possible siezed). Unfortunately the shell was too far gone. I would have like to add a clubman to my collection, but with all seams rusted as well as many other areas (including roof seam), I figure I'll strip it for parts (including great condition glass!) and sell off what I don't need. So if anyone is interested in parts for a LS, let me know.
Hopefully I can bring it home to mum's next weekend, unless I can get it earlier, then I'll strip it and cut the shell up to dispose of it.
