Alrighty am not sure if its me and I need to go back to Kindergarten but how the hell does one pour liquids from a can as follows:



Every time I go and try to pour some thinners into another container the stuff just goes everywhere, i get more on me or the floor than i do in the jar!! Is there a pourer that you can buy?? Tried to use one from a jerry can but the threads aren't the same either. Also have the same issue with another PPG can that the 2 pack primer comes in...

Maybe I'm just uncoordinated....

isn't there generally a pourer you pull up that come up from underneath the lid??

otherwise grab a funnel and pour it into that into the other container/can or whatever your doing

Turn it around so the spout is at the top of the can as you pour it , then it's at a better angle to pour into whatever you're mixing your paint in , if you have the spout at the bottom edge the top of the tin is too horizontal and it spills everywhere .

not sure tht this is the right way but its how i do it and dont spill anything.hold the can in your hands with the opening facing stomach then tlt the can over into what ever u are going to put the contents into. seems weired but thats how i was showen ages ago.

No pourer to be seen at all, even tried taking one off another tin of thinners that i've finished with but the hole is a different size.

Have also tried putting a funnel/small container on the lip of the can but it also ends up quite messy.

poor it like blacksunday said poor it so the opening is on top of the can pretty much poor it backwards thats the easyest way i could explain it.

If your buying the paint and prepsol from a paint supplies place then mostly they fill a container from a bulk resevoir.

Therefore buy a metal petrol container the same as your from virtually any servo with a shop. Make sure it has the plastic extendable spout and you no longer have a problem.

Short trm - pour it as every one suggests - that is with the opening at the top of the pouring angle. You have less liquid trying to get out

buy a plastic jerry witha screw on spout and transfer it all into that
or pour into a bucket then use the spout on that to pour into where u need it

The other advantage of pouring it with the pourer at the top, is that the air that enters the car to replace the liquid will flow smoothly, rather than 'glugging' as it tends to if you have the pourer at the bottom.

Also cut a Diet Coke 2 litre bottle in half and use the top as a funnel.

Diet Coke - who uses diet coke ??????

Ordinary coke bottles work as well

yeah pour it with the opening at the top...

diet coke because he wants a sugar free bottle????
