Wow impressive! I can't make it though... I will to one some time in the future! I've got an autocross round on the 11th, and mates coming down from Sydney on the 10th (for the GP the following weekend). |

You gotta want it, you could finish a race and jump into a waiting mini! It really is something else from what i remember. I wonder if they let you "run what yer brung" like they used to, a big parade lap of classics from the crowd. I didn't want to go out til I saw a dodge van with curtains fanging it around the track, and figured if he's out there, then why not me. |

I'm going. My car will be parked with the club display and I'll be waving the flags on turn 1.1 or 1.2 for the 3 days. More officials are needed so contact the club if you can help in any way. I guess I will be leaving too early to go down in any convoy but it will be a great weekend. There were a dozen or so minis on display last year but more are expected this time. If your in the VMCI and put your car on display you get a ticket to get in. Contact the club for more info. There are 40+ car clubs entering the display so it will be huge. Add that to the 400+ entries in the racing and where else would be better to go! Oh, and apart from Norm Beechey, Bob Holden should be there too and he is always good for a chat. See you there! |
