Post subject:  strut removal help

hi all,i recently removed my rear subframe but i cant seam to get the strut out,
its not even comming out of the rubber cone.
does anyone have any suggestions on getting them out??
also while its off i wouldnt mind replacing the shocks does anyone have any more suggestions of which models are good
and should i convert to hi-lo's while the subframe's off??
what kind of change does it make to the general ride?
any help apprieciated :D

Look carefully behind the swingarm and you will see the remnants of a bumpstop that stops the unit from bashing the subframe when the wheel drops fully , like over a jump. Remove this and you might have a little more room to play with. Try to get the ball joint out of the arm. As for the trumpet into the doughnut, soak the bugger in crc it will come away eventually. Hi-los won't change the ride, only the height.
