Post subject:  Front Apron Panel

Has any one ever replaced there front Apron Panel at any stage? Mine was replaced 10 years ago with a Rover item supplied by Mini Car Clinic. Ive got a feeling it was meant to be for a Mini with rubber mounted front subframe....

Years ago when it was put on, 2 metal spacers were fitted between the front mounting edge of the subframe and the mounting point on the body.

If any one has fitted one of these front aprons, have they had any troubles with tyre clearance around the front edge of the wheel arch?????

Photos would b great if any 1 has em...

Thanks

yeah i fitted one to my 850 recently. seemed the same as the original morris one but with extra holes on the bonnet support, probly for internal bonnet release and a hole on the right hand side grille mount.
no probs fitting it and dimensions are the same. i made the wheel arches bigger because i wanted to eliminate any chance of rubbing.
you might find a pic on my resto in the members gallery
