What does everybody use to compress the piston when doing a pad change of a bisc braked car?

go to repco or peps and buy a steering wheel puller they usually work well i use it. or g clamp or a 16" pair of multi grips

I like to use a vice, not because of the brute strength, but because it's got a pair of parallel jaws and can give gentle and consistant pressure. I also use soft jaws and a block of timber to stop any marking.


edit...ops, during a pad change. I didn't read it properly....yeah, in that case multigrips.

I put 2 flat spanners in between rotor and piston, then lever them apart. Do ONE pad at a time. :wink:

over here you can get this at the local motorbike parts shop
or ebay, is around 20€
