You've been laying awake at night looking for your purpose haven't you , here it is

Seriously though , the more info people get now , the easier things will be in the future for figuring out when things changed through the production . At least clubbies are easier in that they have compliance plates with dates etc , unlike the 850's .

Before starting a Clubman register you need to define what in fact is a Clubman.
Do you take the view that anything with a square nose is a Clubman?
Or is it anything with a Clubman badge?
Anything built by Leyland?

Or is there some other way of defining what is a Clubman? :?

It seems there is no standard clubman register, so if no one minds I'll take ownership of maintaining a register for them.

Ok, so by definition adapted from Wikipedia:

The British Leyland Mini Clubman built from 1969 to 1980, which has a square frontal look.

Some other facts:
Advanced technology for 1969 included the first use of a flexible printed-circuit board behind the dash instruments.
It also offers better crash safety, is better equipped, has vastly better under-bonnet access, and more expensive than those other minis.
And they were aerodynamically speed limited

Chassis prefixes include YG2S7, and more ...

In Australia, a Mini was officially called a 'Mini Clubman' from
July 1971 to April 1972.

After this time a Mini Clubman was referred to as a 'Leyland Mini'

The TRUE Aussie Clubmans had a boot badge that reads MINI CLUBMAN, and the Australian Leyland Mini wore a LEYLAND MINI badge

And.....surprise, surprise....the GT had a badge reading CLUBMAN GT
