A 1-1/2 SU and manifold is good for about 2-3HP gain over a 1-1/4, no downside to it if jetted right. Keep the 1-1/2. ![]() |

i see alot of inlet manifolds with the water pipe going through the top of it? what does this do? Its a water heater fixture - heats the manifold up contrary to the belief it cools the manifold. Good for cold Canberra mornings - alas since I have put the DHLA on Henry winter cruises are sometimes marred because the carb ices up very badly(seems to do it right when I pass the Goulburn exits - must be the southern Highlands weather...lol) Good to have it connected but much of a muchness Hooroo |

You will find that any water heated inlet manifold will flow better than the standard cast iron one, so there you will get the extra power and may even get better economy! |
