look on the boot latch or the windscreen wiper motor, if the dates on both these are close you will atleast have a year

it has 4 64 stamped on wiper motor nothing on boot latch thanks for the help i want to sell it so best if i know what i am selling. cuz |

Check the colour shown on the BMC body plate- then look on http://www.elevenhundred.com/colours.htm for colour match by year. |

the paint is a 1964 as is the window wiper motor and the number plate holder. thanks for all the help martin |

The glass on all these cars has the date it was manufactured coded into the logo on it. Not a well known fact. I forget how to read it but will check when I get a chance/ It was not hard to do IIRC. |
