Oh gawd. You need a cone compressor to get the cones out for hilos in the first place. :lol:

If cones are stuffed you can just pull the top arms out. Worked for Gafmo- just as well, the cones had no threads left in 'em! Only rust.. :shock:

my front subframe is completely stripped - except for the cones and trumpets. they just flap around in the strut towers and dont fall out. i cant even separate the trumpets from the cones. i've tried prying with big flat screwdrivers, but nothing works!

If all else fails, cut the trumpets, or the cones.. :lol:
They do come off eventually, once you use the right incantation and have enough beer.. :wink:

I must have been lucky with mine. Trumpets and cones just 'fell out'..... :lol: ...and they weren't even FUBAR like Jim's.
