Nothin like Rover hubs
Metro hubs have the same wheel bearings
different ball joints
different steering arms
different brake mounting bolts.
And normally coming from England they are rusty and brittle

i hear you mate, I had to cut/bash the bearings of the shafts and out of the hubs. I also had to weld big ass sockets on the balljoints and rattle them off. Pain in the ass.
Do you know where I can get metro mk1 ball joints from ?

the whole thing start to finish was a pain in the ass, I got the hubs cheap and all but it worked out fairly dear.
hubs,disc,calipers 300
CV's(one was stuffed) 160
new bearings 110
undjustable lower arms 180
flexible brake lines 44
new ball joints 100
caliper kit 35
total 929

That's pretty normal.
Just remember the metro ball joints are a lot more expensive

Be sure to buy the pre '84 model metro (mini type) ball joints. If they are more expensive they are certainly worth the extra few dollars for the no pain in the arse shims factor.

I got mine off a ebay UK seller. I'm sure they were like 16 pounds.

the ball joint design is heaps better on the metro's. I have ordered all the stuff from Karcraft, they were about normal price wise, but they had everything i needed.
