Basic design of the car is advanced for its time, parts availability, character, perfect car for putting your mark on, chance of showing up a laster, newer car, fun, cheap and if I f**k something up I can just find another bit...

I got into minis because i used to go around to a maits house after school to help him restore his minis. I think it's just contageous. Once you have touched, driven or restored one, you just can't get them out of your blood.

1. Price (they were cheap to buy)

2. It's in my blood (my mother bought her first in 1961)

something that was designed as a cheap shopping trolley for nurses and housewifes that turned out to be a perfect design for any any kind of driving. The motorsport potential became clear within days of the first launch in the UK - everything about the heritage and the style, a primary catalyst for the cultural revolution of the 60's... no other car has changed the world and had more impact on design (99% of cars on the road have something that was pioneered by the mini) and social change

My dad got me hooked when I was 9 years old when he said "it was the most impressive car I've ever driven", referring to his mates Cooper S from years before. Since then, owning and driving my first one at 13, there's no other car that holds more than a passing interest..... a grinning little face on a giant killer that you can't help but have more fun than should be possible in....

I could go on for days!

no-one should need to ask that question

1. 20 years between minis is far too long.
2. No other car is as much fun to drive
3. If you break down you can actually do something about it other than ring a tow truck.
4. How many other 4cyl cars actually go up in value?
5. It's a piece of motoring history.
6. Chicks love em
7. How many strangers would come up to you and start a conversation about "those great little cars" if you were driving another crappadore?
8. Nothing is more satisfying than passing a modern car that's broken down with the owner staring under the bonnet scratching his head
9. The look on that ricers face as you leave them for dead at the lights
10. Roundabouts, gotta love em

1. Loved the performance and handling
2. Could actually work on it myself unlike modern cars with spaghetti in engine bay
3. Parts are available unlike alot of classic cars so affordable to do up.

Ive grown up with a Mini in my family pretty much. You get hooked on the smallest, silliest things - like fitting two Minis and an old 70s Fairlane in a two car garage. From getting to a shopping centre that has a completely full car park, and manufacturing your own spot from a space that no car should, by rights, fit in to. From taking a downhill, off camber turn at pace, with a slightly worried passenger, and feeling the thing turn in hard and grip with minimal body roll.

I could go on, but I won't - everyone else has also listed great reasons. I love looking at classic cars, and Minis are just my chance to own one (even if it is a Clubby !)

After my first mini was squashed by a cement truck, I vowed to one day own another. It may be 20 something years later but I finally got a Mini again !!!!!!!!!!!

I love it when u drive thru town making a heap of noise, people looking, kids pointing, just the whole mini experience is fun, fun, fun.

Even when you do have to work on 'em, you find "improvements" that just have to be done to keep the experience bubbling along.

:D :
