A lot of money for a "Roughy". He's dreamin' or smokin' or both . Too many errors and inconsistencies to list them all here, but I love the bit about the Hi-voltage battery :P

Looks like one of those projects you used to see in Fast Fours and Rotaries all those years ago in the late eighties and early nineties.

Maybe it could be brought back fdrom the edge of oblivion? (but for a lot less than he's charging though)

Looks to me like an early clubby, eg. 71 as it says, with a roundnose fibreglass front, and an S motor. Good thing it says the motor ain't the same as the plate. 9FSAY is Mk1 'S' not Mk 2 or as he says...Mk 3..... .

Also 43 thousand something is pretty low, my motor which I think is about 67ish maybe is 47 thousand. Anyways, it's not worth the money buit would amkea good project for half that.

Those would have to be the most interesting set of mini-lite style wheels I have ever seen - look more like contessa's to me!

DID ANYONE NOTICE THE CLUBBY TAIL LIGHTS??? This guy is a fool. Its a clubman with a roundy flippy front. Might have a S motor but.

Tell him his dreaming.
we should get on this guy and ask some questions

Has anyone else noticed the lack of window winders on the door cards/doors ?????

I've asked for the body number so we'll see what it is .

There were a few MK3 Cooper S's released here, they had clubman tailights & clubman doors, if it's a genuine MK3 i think 8k is a bargain.

It does not look like a Clubman body, look at the inner guards. My guess is a Mini K or a Mk2 Cooper S.

Early master cylinders.
Later wipers.
Lift up doorhandles.
Alternator.
VH44 facing the wrong way.
Later column.
Early gearstick.

According to the seller there's no ID or compliance plate , just the body number on the radiator shroud , 1M0920*** (last 3 digits edited by me) ....

dont you love it when sellers leave out important information. like this person. the seats are obviously mx5 seats but they call them moke seats. by the way, mx5 seats dont cost $500.

when i went to tell them that they arnt moke seats they insulted me.

I agree Doogie.

I'm not defending the seller but if it's a real Mk III S then it's a rare bargain.

Remember Grant Welsh paid $20 000+ for his Mk III S some 12 years ago.

Cheers

I'm curious though , do people accept them as a MK3 cooper S (which none of the "experts" acknowledge as being a model change) or just as the last cooper s's with the clubman type door's ? I know Grant does (just realising it's about 10 years since I spoke to him last ...) but he's the only one I've known who regards it as a seperate MK .
