Picked up an engine with some parts I got the other day. Don't know much about its history other than it last came out of a clubbie and may be a 998. Engine number is 99H791PZ 557811. My brother, who knows a lot more than I ever will about minis, couldn't really tell me anything about it other than it had a "unusual cast"and it may be an 1100.
Can anyone tell me anything from the engine number?

:?

998 Clubby motor, originally anyhow.
put a bit of rod down #1 and #2 plugholes when #1 at TDC, difference between `em = stroke.
76.2mm = 998 crank still in.
83.7mm = 1098 crank in it now. 8)
