Hi

I'm sure this would have been asked and answered before so sorry in advance.

I am fitting discs to my "K" and have now removed the swivel hub and drive shaft as one item.

My question is how do I seperate the driveshaft and the CV joint?

Cheers
Steve

Holding the whole lot up by the drive shaft. Sustained tapping (read: bashing) on the outer of the CV with a soft hammer will pop the drive shaft out of the CV.

It's held in by a detent spring. Don't do this over your bare feet and have a soft spot for the hub and CV to fall onto, like a pile of rags, or a wooden bench top. Maybe just hold it off the ground only a short distance.
