Normal Moke numbers for that time.
They are using the Leyland car ID numbers (not called VIN numbers) but still using the BMC engine prefix.

018 COB1 M10
018 = YDO18 = Aussie 13" wheel Moke.
C = (compliance status code A = man, B = Auto, C = ? It is something that just keeps going up as the models change)
OB = Body Type = Open? Buckboard? :? (Watto may know for sure.)
1 = Quality level = 1 (base model is 1, there was a better model with a 2)
M = 4 speed floor shift Manual gearbox
10 = 1098 Motor.

Nah, The only book I have that mentions this code is a Marina book and it just gives A & B and says Compliance Code and A = Manual and B = Auto.
The C could mean later manual or it could mean anything. I have 76 Mini S tag here that has a "D" later cars have a "G"
It probably relates to the number of ADRs on the Compliance Plate.

Coincidentally, Army, who look after all ADF vehicle maintenance policy have A, B and C vehicles

A = Tanks, LAVs, M113s etc

B = Unimogs, Landrovers, Macks etc

C = are commercial or so called White vehicles (coz they usually are...however, I suspect some Mokes may have been bought in this fashion as base run-abouts...they could easily have been painted olive drab)
