is it possible to get a replacement chrome trim that runs along the top edge of the parcel shelf on a roundie. i have seen a few mint restorations on rounies but i have never seen this piece of trim looking perfect on any car. has anyone got a roundy with this trim in perfect condition.? how would you restore such a delicate piece? sorry for all the questions but i guess its how ya learn right?

in roundies doesnt the top of the back seat go over the parcel shelf???
do u have any pics??

sorry i was talking about the dash rail/ parcel shelf at the front. the trim that runs the width of the entire dash.

Location: Out in the shed cleaning up my own mess.
That trim piece is ultra fragile and easily bent if your'e not careful. I think it's anodised aluminium and thus easily scratched as well. Maybe some metal platers could advise if chroming is possible. I'm guessing if plastic can be chromed, any metal (ferrous or non ferrous) can be done. :roll:

I bought mine BRAND NEW from Mini Kingdom back in the day, its held on with clips, was to bad of a job to get it back on...

Every Clubby has that trim piece still, hidden under the dash rail- why, I have NFI... but it's a good source of these for roundies... :wink:
