It just goes to show that you should never expect the worst of these little guys and dont always believe what you want to believe.
I have just had Morris' gearbox and clutch all done and what happens (before I get a chance to really test it out), he blows a wheel cylinder, or thats what I wanted to believe so I could upgrade his front brakes to twin cylinder.
All parts for the job are in transit between adelaide and sydney. I'm hanging to get out there and drive him with his new box and clutch. Parts still not hear so to satisfy my Mini urges I start to pull it all apart in readiness.
FRH cylinder was an absolute shite to get of (see previous thread). FLH came off with no trouble at all. Especially when I came to undo the brake line. It wasn't even finger tight. So there was no blown wheel cylinder after all. I could have been driving Morris all weekend. I could have made it to the Pie in the Sky run on Sunday.
Instead of which I am going to have a bill to explain to the "minister for finance" and Morris is in the garage with no front wheels.

aaaarrrrrgghhhhh

Gotta love them - its things like this that gives old cars their character - new cars have no character at all.
