what is peoplws preferred method for removing the paint up in under the scuttle panel where the bonnet hinges are?

i've got most of it off today with the wire wheel on the angel grinder. i will use a right angle one on the grinder and a smaller one on the drill to get most of it off, but its still reall tight and nasty angle up there, so just curious.

BTW this is just a quick removal of spot rust exercise before the new engine goes in, not a full respray.

cheers
michael

I just used a scotch pad by hand to remove all the flake where the wire brush on the drill/ grinder couldnt get to.

If paint is a bit flaky, try an air chisel... ~$40 from supercrap- it worked well for me on da Moke today. :P

I found that the paint up there on mine was great, so just cut it back lightly with sandpaper as much as I could.

Pete.
