hi all ive got new bushes and roller bearings for the trailing arm and ie gotten the rollerbearings out but i cant get the bushes out wat do i use to get the out how do i get them out i was using a long rod thingy it got the bearings out alright but the bush doesnt have a very large lip on the inside so it doesnt push very well it jus slipps off ... thanks Alis |

My patent method- I screw an old 7/8 Whitworth tap into it, then knock it out with a BFH and a drift. The old trailing arm shaft will do. ![]() Same way I get remote shift bronze bushes out of the diff housings, for them I use a 9/16 UNF tap. |

Gotta keep at it like you were. If you push it the other way into the arm you will be in trouble getting it back out. If things get desperate and you REALLY stuff the shoulder up, you might try cutting a groove along the bush with a hacksaw blade slowly, that will releive pressure and it will come out, but the cutting process would be pretty slow. Heating might help to release the bearing a little as well. |
