depends on condition..usually around $15-20k for an unmolested and restored example - can't give a value on yours without looking at it.

Was it the one in Hobart advertised as "rusty" and needing full resto (ex 'Dean')?
If so, will be keen to have a look one day mate.

its got leather interior but carpet isnt to good and a roll cage.
engine number is:12YTAH3773
ill take sum pic's tomorow and try to post them

That engine number you qouted is not a Cooper S number.

no surprises there the guy said his dad spent alot of money on it so he probly put a different motor in it. im still confident that its a genuine body it got two fuel tanks 10" discs and those rims the coopers have.

Okay lots of photos, and the numbers from the id tags etc. Take the photos from many angles and particularly from under the bonnet and from the front with the grill out.

Also take a couple of the boot with and without the boot board in.

Quite a number of people on here have a very detailed knowledge of what should and should not be on a mini to make it a genuine Cooper S as against a replica or a fake.

wheels....tanks....discs.....can buy from anywhere and put on anything.

Non original motor reduces the value a lot IMHO.

Green with white roof may well be the stereotyped Cooper S, but it doesn't make one a Cooper S.

ID tag with matching body numbers is a good start, and factory tell tale signs like spot welded RH tank brackets is a fairly good sign.

On what you have said, a REAL Cooper S with non genuine motor, in semi-decent nic is probably right on 8k.

BTW....is it really leather, or just a coarse grain vinyl that looks like leather? The amount of eBay ads these days where people quote "leather trim" is ridiculous!

One went on ebay for about that price a few weeks ago. Had sunroof, non S motor, I think it had wood dash and clubman tail lights. Was green and was said to be a Mk2.
