G'day,
As you can probably tell by looking left, I'm new here. And I've got a new car. The previous owner had a Weber in it (he kept it), and so he installed a Weber Box in the firewall. My car's a 69 Deluxe, so it had the standard speedo and two clocks, which he's just moved to sit in front of the driver. It's currently held in place with a zip tie.  :?
I love the look of the old Smiths gauges, but leaving it set up as it is won't work - the binnacle's skewed a bit, and the rest of the dash needs doing - there aren't any cards in there or anything like that. What have other people done..? Anyone got any photos? I've tried searching on here, but haven't turned up much other than Clubman dashes, suggestions of Rover dashes, and TonyE's dash, with the Triumph Dolomite tacho (which looked very good). I'd really rather stick with the Smith's speedo I've already got, it looks great, and, although it's a bit pessimistic (36mph/60kmh reads as 33), it's not far off reading correctly (my diff is supposed to be a much-taller-than-standard ratio - I haven't got a tacho yet, so I don't know for sure).
I'd love to see some photos of what other people have done, to see if my ideas for what I might do would work...

The previous owner, upon removing the weber, installed twin SU's. He bought the weber new, so I can understand why he kept it. I'm not sure what I'll do with carbies - there is a possibility that I'll go back to a weber or dellorto in the future, so I figure it's a positive to have the box there. I'm getting the engine looked at this week, because it's way out of tune... Who knows, maybe the SU's wont be the right setup, and I might have to change them - for all I know, the twins could be 1 1/8's, and it's supposed to be an 1100S block, engine number starts 12Y1TAH.

So I figure the Weber box isn't a bad thing... I've been looking through Mini World, can't find much in there. And I haven't seen much on the net, except Rover dashes. But thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep looking through my magazines. :)

If anyone has any photos, though...
