I see the very nice Monza flip top petrol cap on ebay at the moment. They look so cool but I wonder if they leak.
Does any one have any experience with these caps?

I Have 2 Aston flip top caps, and also the locking cap from the uk and they work great no leaks at all.

They are the Monza style caps. There is a threaded brass collar that has to be flogged onto the neck of the tank, then the cap screws onto the collar.... BUT..... u have to ensure that the collar is positioned in the correct spot, so that when u screw the cap on tight, the cap sits in the correct position.... Cause otherwise, u will never get the collar off again..........!!!!

This is the collar.

I drive my car everyday but I only fill it six times a year.

The flip top fuel caps are not legal for some CAMS events but most scruitineers wouldn't know anyway. They can pop open in a crash. Historics have to lock wire theirs.
