I'm fitting Aussie cooper S flares to my Elf to cover the 12' deep dish alloys.
Does anyone know where I can buy the liner that goes inside the flare (particularly for the rear) and rivets (I think) to the original lip on the gaurd.
I tried to make some but it really looks like I tried to make some!!

Im not sure if thats something that u can buy??? I had mine made by the Panel Beaters. Its actually spot welded onto the lip of the guard.....

Sorry to bring this up after a month, but would rivets work?
I have some of these flares for my car but was holding off until I worked out if
the guards need trimming or anything. It looks like they dont so I can proceed.

And if I can't buy em, can I go into bunnings, and buy something the right width
off the shelf for the job, or are they not actually square (so that means when flat,
are they a curved profile?)

You can go to bunnings and buy the long lengths of ant capping, a pair of tin snips and some rivets.

When riveting, rivet from the bottom side up so that your tyres dont get damaged if they scrub. Cut the ant cap to a suitable size fix it to the lip place the flare in position and mark the outer line with a texta. Remove the flare and then cut with tin snips as required, paint or what ever and then fix the flare in place.

That's the cheapest way to do it.

If you have a welder and a supply of tin then you can attend to it in a more professional manner.

Both ways will give you the same result.

Most cars i've seen that didn't come with the strip from the factory have had it rivited on.
