Howdy,

Start: 8:30am
Finish: 3:00pm

Engine out, gearbox stripped and fixed, engine in, away we go.

Yes, had expert help of course :)

Third gear baulk ring (synchro) was BROKEN!!!! Not just loose, stretched or worn... BROKEN!!!!

Graham rocked up while we were working on it and I showed him ...
"Not doing Race shifts are we Pete - tisk tisk"

Unfortunately I wasnt, didnt even have the chance to try :D The baulk ring broke first time I tried third gear after the engine was put into the car.

All good now, so me is a HAPPY HAPPY camper!!!

better fix that floor now Pete, or the engine torque will flex that body and break it in half...! :lol:

Yeah, I am really happy!

Anton, got some floors from Mini King... nice guy all around and really happy to help.
But your absolutely right, all that HP will twist it around ROFL :D

Mickmini... it was a NEW one. God dammit, I got it from Suzisport... ill take it back and show him. They just dont break in that spot, its the strongest part - so it was a dud ring :(

Jim, sorry, was out the whole weekend after I got it fixed... the Mrs planned it all out already :D

Thanks Emm, yeah its back... BUT I have ripped the interior out and we will be welding and stuff... so who knows, I might screw up the floor or something and not make it hehehe

I think it will be great! I cant wait actually... panels and paint now, hopefully finished by Dyno day.
