Hey,

Sorry if this is a FAQ, but has anyone owned/driven/seen a Mini with a 5 speed 'box? Would you recommend one, and if so where would you go to buy one?

I remember years ago there was one developed in the UK, I think it was by KAD.. at the time it would have cost something like $2,500 landed. Are there others? Are they worth it, or would you get the same benefit with lotsa torque and a tall diff?

It was pretty much decided that you would be better off building an engine with better torque that could pull a higher diff ratio. The 5 speed boxes are a bit unreliable - have a look anyway.
