ok since the accident i havent been able to start tiny and i think ive narrowed it down to the pump, could someone give me some idea on how much the pumps are and what are possible reasons.

WHat type of fuel pump is it (non solid state SU fuel pumps had points in them that need adjusting occasionally) , get under the back of tiny and give the pump a few hits with your hand while the ignition is on and see if it starts working , if it does look in a manual about adjusting them .

About as much as saying you drive a Morris ..... Could be anything , see if it has SU written on it and if it is see if the top looks like plastic compared to the rest of it being metal , better still take a photo . If it isn't the points type of SU then you'll just be looking for a replacement fuel pump to suit a carb fed car , is tiny negative or positive earth ? Also run wires direct to the pump from the battery to definitively check if it is dead or there's a wiring fault somewhere .

Check at the point where the pump is mounted, are the earth and positive connectors still connected?
Is there power (11.5-12V) to the positive lead when using a multimeter when the ignition is on? - has a previous owner fused this wire, is the fuse OK?

Most electric pumps are located under the petrol tank on the rear subframe. Occasionally someone has a bright idea of relocating them into the boot.

Methinks a poke around with basic troubleshooting and a multimeter or one of those test lamp screwdriver thingies will be a good starting point.

Is there a clicking sound when you turn on the ignition? - if you disconnect the carb fuel in pipe and run it into a jar. What happens when you turn on the ignition?

Bleeding obvious question - is there fuel in the petrol tank?
